DAY 1

[ You wake up in a rather sophisticated dining hall, with mirrors all over the walls like in the photo. There's also a bunch of portraits and paintings all over the walls, including the ceiling. There's food on the table, but they are made of wax. Enjoy that.

If you leave the dining hall, you'll find yourself in a pretty long hallway. There are other doors to the house, but they are all locked, save for the room right across the dining hall's. The room right across a pretty rundown library. There are some couches which are covered with white cloth. There are cobwebs and dust everywhere.

At the center of the room is a line of full length body-mirrors, positioned in a semi circle facing the door. The number of mirrors are the same number of people present. Each mirror will reflects only one specific person, no matter how many people are standing in front of it. (Eg. if Kristoph stands in front of Mirror A, he'll see himself. If he stands in front of Mirror B, he won't see any reflection at all.)

The first time they view their mirror, their reflection will move. It will smile at them, and pull out a small letter envelope from their pocket, then hand it out to the other side. Should your character receive the envelope, they'll find the police department's seal at the back. Said reflection goes back to "normal" after that. ~ MYSTERIOUS ~

Upon opening the envelope, they'll find a letter and a skeleton key taped to it. Engraved on the key is the team name the letter is addressed to. The ink mysteriously disappears on the letter upon reading its contents once, and for some reason? The notion that you must never speak of this to anyone, or else, you'll die is imprinted in your mind.

What do you last remember? Being in the slammer? Being accused of murder? Taking the stand? Taking your last breath? Whatever it is, you remember blinking—of course, you do it all the time—and seeing your life flash right before you. And all of a sudden, these images shatter in your mind like a broken mirror. You open you eyes, and you're not where you were last. Weren't you supposed to be in court, or entering the gates of hell? Well, whatever tribulation you were supposed to experience, this shouldn't be any different.

Whatever happened in that short span of time? You literally just blinked.

On the other hand, if you were already dead. . . wow. What are you doing alive? You might feel a little stiff, as if your insides have become slightly brittle. When you first start walking again, you might feel some sharp pains in your stomach, in your legs, your hands, fingers… And when you cringe because of that pain, you remember. You remember a tall badger with soulless eyes bringing your soul back to life. He put you back together piece by piece, mirror shard by mirror shard, for the sole purpose of finding out the truth. What is the truth? You can't piece together his words, but they were definitely "bad", "blue", and "white walls".

If you look back at the mirror again, you'll find something (or is it someone?) staring at you from behind. Before you could even react, you hear the words "find. vote bad badger three friends" get whispered in your ear like an itchy and spine tingling thing. If you look back, the beautiful creature is gone. Its reflection is gone, too.

Replacing it are the words "bad badgr" and twelve names written under the header. If you try to touch the writings on the mirror, you'll just touch the glass. It was written from the other side using black smoke. The handwriting is that of a three year old, with letters inverted and ugly drawn letter ys. Next to each name is the number 0.

It looks like you can actually touch the names listed, and once you poke at it, a tally count appears next to it and replaces the 0. It seems that the list is the same for every other mirror, and when one touches a name, you get to see that someone has voted for that name. Of course, it doesn't show who exactly picked that name. You can try to play with the mirror as much as you like, but for some reason, you can only vote on one name.

What's your plan now? Find, and vote on the three friends of the bad badger? What does that even mean? The letter you received and the roles you seem to have to play aren't exactly helping much, are they? At least there are other people there with you.

Feel free to explore the mansion. There are rather creepy bedrooms up there with dolls that stare into your soul. BUT BEDS. Hey! At least you can rest… knowing that there are people there who would probably want to kill you. Can you relax knowing that? Or relax knowing that… OR relax knowing that you're playing a game that is toying with everyone's lives?

Please enjoy your stay in Gatewater Land! ]
