Agent Tony Chu, FDA ([personal profile] cibopath) wrote in [community profile] crybadger 2015-04-17 05:58 am (UTC)

[Kidnapping, Tony Chu can handle. He's an ace agent of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, god damn it, and this isn't his first rodeo, or his first kidnapping, for that matter. At least he's not tied up this time, and at least nobody's making him eat-- well. That's beside the point.

At any rate, he's not going to be tripped up by the shock of it, apart from the initial moments he spares to gawk at the couple dozen people (and horse????) that their kidnappers have managed to stuff into the already cramped dressing room. Fortunately for him, he's always been short and fairly scrawny. Tony ducks and weaves his way through the rest of the people in the room and makes a beeline for what'd caught his eye first: the crime scene.

He takes a knee beside it. Chalk outline, blood. Highly, highly useful for a cibopath like him: if he can peek into the past of this blood, what the victim or even the perpetrator had seen, it'll be one step closer to getting himself and the others out of here. So without missing a beat, Tony draws a finger across the few drops of blood on the floor... and pops it into his mouth.

And absolutely nothing happens.
] What the hell? [SO HE TRIES AGAIN, smearing more blood onto his hand and licking it, and still nothing happens.

Tony Chu was born a cibopath; as far back as he can remember, he's been able to see the past of anything he consumes. For a completely blank reading from this blood to occur, when this has never, ever been the case? Something is very wrong.

Tony stands bolt upright and suddenly exclaims:
] What the fuck did they do to me?!
