Game 2 - DAY 3

[ After ousting finishes, the bodies of Hans, Gina, York, and Bruce slowly turn into glass, starting from their feet and it works its way up until the glass covers the bodies. A few seconds after looking like a diamond statue, the glass shatters, leaving nothing but the broken pieces on the floor.

THERE CERTAINLY WERE HUMAN BODIES THERE EARLIER. WELL? NOT ANYMORE…!

Right after that, everyone will receive a text saying:

Congratulations on making it to the third day! Please get some rest now, as the game will continue tomorrow.
Had there been no wolf ousted the past two days, you all will be in grave danger as one more mistake would mean the wolves win. Oh no! :(
The poll has been updated. Please make sure to cast your votes on time.
Please remember that the game will be over once the number of remaining sheep is the same as the number of total wolves. That is three!

The twelve mirrors backstage will look pretty strange, too. Four of those mirrors have been broken as well, with only eight mirrors hung properly. If this isn't symbolic, then I don't know what is. Perhaps it would be best to clean the glass shards up. We wouldn't want anybody to get injured, right? And it would be best to get a lot of rest.

The loudspeakers seem to have been turned off now, and even the noise you could hear in the locked dressing room is gone… mysterious. But it's also helpful since you'd want to sleep peacefully at night, right?

Of course you do. Come morning, the stage will have Samurai Dogs YET AGAIN, coffee, Cheerios and milk. Have at it. ]

Well, that was absolutely worthless. And not what I was looking for at all. You pass, I guess.
notaccurate: (04)

[personal profile] notaccurate 2015-04-24 01:51 am (UTC)(link)
I think I will pass, thanks.

[Luca does not have that forceful of a personality, it would look weird on him to be so forward all the time.]

[Oh, well, in that case Cabanela will twist himself around in the seat again and put his feet on the floor where they belong. It's not like anyone will come in here to punish him for sullying the chairs with his shoes, but he might as well try to set a better example, what with being law enforcement and all.

Let it be noted that the twisting around in the seat is, of course, accompanied with a bit of needlessly overcomplicated leg swinging and arm stretching.]

... I can't claim that Mr. Bruce was a good man, as I didn't know him all that well, buuut I sincerely doubt that anyone here has done anything to warrant a horrifying fate like that. Are we supposed to be executioners? If so, I'm more of a rehabilitation kinda guy. [Oh and that just makes the conversation even more painful. He'll just fall silent for a brief moment and run a hand through his hair.]

Seems to me like they all died for nothing, baby.
curedham: (your deadend dreams don't make you smile)

[personal profile] curedham 2015-04-24 01:59 am (UTC)(link)
...I am not sure that I do see, actually. [what's a gun. what's a bullet. she is unacquainted with the proper terminology regarding yesterday's explodey bangy disaster incident] Could you be more specific?
inspectormacarena: (Coryphée)

[personal profile] inspectormacarena 2015-04-24 02:02 am (UTC)(link)
[More specific than small, round and deadly? Fiiine, he'll take out his gun, twirl it around his finger for a few seconds, then snap it open to take out one of the bullets. He holds it up between his thumb and index finger for L'Arachel to see and no, she cannot take it from him.]

It looks juuust like this, baby.
notaccurate: (29)

[personal profile] notaccurate 2015-04-24 02:08 am (UTC)(link)
No, it's not nothing, if the wolves are still into it. There must be something in it for them, if they're still continuing to play. I can't for the life of me figure out what would be worth it, though.
curedham: (can't stay at home can't stay at school)

[personal profile] curedham 2015-04-24 02:13 am (UTC)(link)
[But it's so shiny... But all right, she leans forward to examine it and hums in consideration.] So there should be one of these somewhere in the area... Well! I am sure we have plenty of time before we need to be concerned about anything happening on the stage, so let the search begin!

[Scuttling around on the floor is entirely unbecoming of a princess, but even L'Arachel has like, half a modicum of maturity, and this is important—under the seat investigations are a go!] Shall we ask the others for assistance as well?
inspectormacarena: (Ballerino)

[personal profile] inspectormacarena 2015-04-24 02:19 am (UTC)(link)
Revenge, blackmail, money, an escape from whatever lousy life they might have. Sheer desperaaation... [He breathes a sigh and sits back, allowing his head to rest atop the back of the chair.]

I've seen people do aaall sorts of horrible things for aaall sorts of reasons. Those are the kind of criminals we can't have running around on the streets.
curedham: (stone age love and strange sounds too)

only a little late to the party; mod permission also acquired!!

[personal profile] curedham 2015-04-24 02:20 am (UTC)(link)
[Her gasp turns into a shriek the second the glass shatters—L'Arachel claps her hand over her mouth, and ogles at the glass fragments that were four other people.

It isn't the worst thing she's seen, but it may be close to the most surreal, and up there among the most surprising—what sort of magic could possibly be responsible for this? And after an insistence that no one would be killed, why

But she knows why. They can't enact their plan this way—they've been caught.

She's about a million different kinds of mad, but L'Arachel doesn't, surprise of all surprises, act out immediately. For a few moments, she doesn't move but to lower her hand and clench her other fist around her staff, and stares at the pile of glass, her expression stony.

She won't allow herself to be intimidated. With a soft huff, she spins around on her heel and marches off to attempt something resembling damage control for the others.

Come nighttime, she proceeds with the watch as planned; she's far from as optimistic about their potential for success as she had been when arranging the idea, but the blackout too short for her to even collect her bearings frustrates her no less for it. One second, nothing, the next, food, and tiny reflective shards of glass at the table's feet.

In the morning L'Arachel can be found slumped at the breakfast table in a decidedly unprincesslike fashion. In one hand, she holds one of the mirror fragments between two fingers and squints at it like she expects to find something. With the other hand, she keeps trying to eat a bowl of dry cereal, but for the most part she keeps hitting parts of her face that aren't her mouth with the spoon and trying to play it off like nothing.

As always, her horse is just kinda, y'know, hanging out, and L'Arachel is way too tired to even pretend to deal with whoever's food the horse is gonna try eating today (everyone's).

...So if we want to look at this clue as a one-in-three like the other clues, there's three more teams.

Myself-- Detective Bobby Fulbright and Detective Dick Gumshoe,
Inspector Cabanela and Mr. Pinkman,
and Ms. Diana and Mr. Dandy.

[Now he looks up at the balcony. Is anyone really up there? Well, he'll shout up the traditional greeting and listen if anyone responds:]

...mmm. I suppose so.

[It's a lot for him to chew on, and somehow he can't help but feel bad for everyone involved, and especially the wolves. They are all in a bad place, but the wolves have it the worst.]

Before Bruce was...well, before that happened, he and I had been talking about our texts. The ones to the person in charge, you remember those?

[ Kongwai isn't doing much better right now. Sure, his table manners are as impeccable as ever, but he's missing a lot of his usual grace today. Maybe it's because he stayed up late poring over the book he always carries around and writing notes on loose leaf papers.

Or maybe he's just not in a good mood because a certain horse is chewing on his hair. Could go either way. ]

[personal profile] fencefatale 2015-04-24 03:58 am (UTC)(link)
Well, obviously. I'm a normal human, after all.

[personal profile] fencefatale 2015-04-24 04:02 am (UTC)(link)
Do you think it's possible that one of us might know another person here before the game even started, then?
bestworstdad: (Nagi; He Said What With Who?)

[personal profile] bestworstdad 2015-04-24 04:04 am (UTC)(link)
If I found what I was looking for, you could easily pass as a normal human. That's why I have to be suspicious.

[personal profile] fencefatale 2015-04-24 04:12 am (UTC)(link)
But I wouldn't kill anyone, even if I did have magic. I don't want to see anybody die ever again.
bestworstdad: (Nagi; Can't Touch This)

[personal profile] bestworstdad 2015-04-24 04:13 am (UTC)(link)
Ever again, huh? That sounds pretty intense!
notaccurate: (07)

[personal profile] notaccurate 2015-04-24 04:15 am (UTC)(link)
It's possible, is it not? It is a question worth asking everyone, at least.
curedham: (your deadend dreams don't make you smile)

[personal profile] curedham 2015-04-24 04:38 am (UTC)(link)
[Y'know, it probably isn't helping.

Even though Kongwai is directly across from her, L'Arachel takes her sweet time noticing that a certain animal belonging to a certain princess is drooling all over said princess's partner. Oops.

But okay, she can't remain oblivious forever; once she processes that this is happening she puts down the spoonful of Cheerios, straightens up, and whistles lightly. It gets the horse's attention, anyway, but it isn't until the second whistle that it stops chewing on Kongwai's hair and trots around the table back to L'Arachel, who rewards it with head-pats.
]

My apologies. Stress makes the poor dear act out.

[personal profile] fencefatale 2015-04-24 08:48 am (UTC)(link)
That's true. In my case, I don't recognize anyone I know here. A lot of the people here have been rambling about things that clearly don't exist, like magic and time travel. . .

[personal profile] fencefatale 2015-04-24 08:49 am (UTC)(link)
I've seen enough death for a lifetime. I'd rather not have something like that repeat itself.

Yeaaah, I remember, baby.

[Back into the gun the bullet goes! Another twirl and a flourish, then it goes back into his pocket where grubby hands can't get to it. Making sure you know where your gun is at all times is another one of those things he learned the hard way.]

I'd rather keep this between you and me, if that's okaaay. There's no tellin' what the wolves might do if they find out just how deep I'm digging, you dig?
