Game 2 - DAY 3

[ After ousting finishes, the bodies of Hans, Gina, York, and Bruce slowly turn into glass, starting from their feet and it works its way up until the glass covers the bodies. A few seconds after looking like a diamond statue, the glass shatters, leaving nothing but the broken pieces on the floor.

THERE CERTAINLY WERE HUMAN BODIES THERE EARLIER. WELL? NOT ANYMORE…!

Right after that, everyone will receive a text saying:

Congratulations on making it to the third day! Please get some rest now, as the game will continue tomorrow.
Had there been no wolf ousted the past two days, you all will be in grave danger as one more mistake would mean the wolves win. Oh no! :(

Please remember that the game will be over once the number of remaining sheep is the same as the number of total wolves. That is three!

The twelve mirrors backstage will look pretty strange, too. Four of those mirrors have been broken as well, with only eight mirrors hung properly. If this isn't symbolic, then I don't know what is. Perhaps it would be best to clean the glass shards up. We wouldn't want anybody to get injured, right? And it would be best to get a lot of rest.

The loudspeakers seem to have been turned off now, and even the noise you could hear in the locked dressing room is gone… mysterious. But it's also helpful since you'd want to sleep peacefully at night, right?

Of course you do. Come morning, the stage will have Samurai Dogs YET AGAIN, coffee, Cheerios and milk. Have at it. ]

Not that I know of, no. Un-doing death is hardly a university student level of work, and everything I know about sfeer theory I took in by overhearing lectures as I cleaned labs.

[Siiigh. He'd hoped this sort of thing wouldn't exactly count as death, rather some unfortunate spell that could still be reversed. Apparently not.]

... Only yesterday, I sat here in these very same seats with Mr. Bruce. He warned me not to do anything draaastic. Or, at the very least, only endanger myself. Cruel, the way things turned out, don't you agreee?

Luca sits down again, though this time he is leaning back a bit in the seat, instead of sitting up straight.]

Mmm. Nobody could have seen it coming, though. It is not as if he were up to vote last night.

[Luca does wish Bruce was still around, though. They hadn't gotten around to gathering information about everyone's text messages yet.]

[Oh, well, in that case Cabanela will twist himself around in the seat again and put his feet on the floor where they belong. It's not like anyone will come in here to punish him for sullying the chairs with his shoes, but he might as well try to set a better example, what with being law enforcement and all.

Let it be noted that the twisting around in the seat is, of course, accompanied with a bit of needlessly overcomplicated leg swinging and arm stretching.]

... I can't claim that Mr. Bruce was a good man, as I didn't know him all that well, buuut I sincerely doubt that anyone here has done anything to warrant a horrifying fate like that. Are we supposed to be executioners? If so, I'm more of a rehabilitation kinda guy. [Oh and that just makes the conversation even more painful. He'll just fall silent for a brief moment and run a hand through his hair.]

Seems to me like they all died for nothing, baby.

No, it's not nothing, if the wolves are still into it. There must be something in it for them, if they're still continuing to play. I can't for the life of me figure out what would be worth it, though.

Revenge, blackmail, money, an escape from whatever lousy life they might have. Sheer desperaaation... [He breathes a sigh and sits back, allowing his head to rest atop the back of the chair.]

I've seen people do aaall sorts of horrible things for aaall sorts of reasons. Those are the kind of criminals we can't have running around on the streets.

[It's a lot for him to chew on, and somehow he can't help but feel bad for everyone involved, and especially the wolves. They are all in a bad place, but the wolves have it the worst.]

Before Bruce was...well, before that happened, he and I had been talking about our texts. The ones to the person in charge, you remember those?

[Ah yes, that opportunity that he didn't take advantage of because that was the exact moment he lost his cool and started shooting at a door. Yes. Those messages.]

Yeaaah, I remember, baby.

The one who brought us here, they told me that there is a trial going on right now, and that the trial is related to this place. Remember that body outline that was in the room? Apparently it was there because there had been a murder in here.

[He missed out big time, because there hasn't been an opportunity to reply since then.]

Ahh, our mystery corpse. The one that our resident LAPD detectives knew nooothing about. Good to know it's being handled behind our backs. [...] I don't suppose our host mentioned whether the outcome of the trial will affect our ooown situation?

They said it was separate from this, but they also said we weren't in danger, and you saw how truthful that was.

Danger is a subjective word, but I'd haaate to meet the person who would wave last night's consequences off as harmless, baby. If our host was lying about that much, we can't place faith in any of their words.

My thoughts exactly. But at the same time, if this is an active crime scene, somebody has to come back here eventually, right? Then they will find us.

Unless they already knooow. Funny thing about locked doors, baby. If we can't get out, they can't get in.

I doubt there are any doors around here that lead directly to the outside, baby. If you're askin' which one would give us the most prooogress, my bet's on the one I took a shot at on the first day.

[That is what he was wondering, if 'unable to be shot' door was the door to focus on. ]

...hmm. Alright then.

I think it's time we tried a little experiment.

[That look on his face, it is somewhere between curiosity and mischief. ]

[That is one interesting smile. It's good that Luca apparently has an idea, but...]

Remember what I said about promising not to do anything else drastic, baby? Your little experiment wouldn't be liable to backfiring, now wooould it?

Oh no, it isn't drastic by any means. I just think we should try turning a little bit of wood into something more... malleable? Like sawdust, or wood pulp, or something along those lines.

A completely innocent experiment, really.

[Yep he sure is suggesting changing the composition of the door so they can escape. ]

[For some reason, that door is very susceptible to having its composition changed anyway. ...To indestructible glass, that is. But hey, if Luca can turn it to sawdust, who's Cabanela to argue?]

Innocent, he says. [Skeptical as the wording is, his tone of voice is more amused than anything.] Hey, be my guest, baby. I won't stop you.

You're not hard-of-hearing already, are you? I may know the arrays and the methods needed, but as I have said before, I cannot perform magic.

You are the one who will be doing it.

[Okay, now he's outright laughing.]

I might have a few tricks up my sleeve, but I don't know the fiiirst thing about magic, baby. You're better off askin' our self-proclaimed World's Best Mage.

I wouldn't ask anything of him, I don't trust him to not mess up even the simplest of instructions.

And I've worked at the university for years. I can tell who has the right personality and the right physical presence for performing magic. By my guess, of those still alive, there are four of you who might possibly be able to create a sfeer. You're one of them.

You're also the only one of those four that I am reasonably sure is not a wolf, hence why I say it should be you.

[............Wow really? He chuckles one last time before his amusement finally dies down.]

Thanks for that vote of cooonfidence, baby. It's very much appreciated. I never pegged myself as much of a magician, but who am I to shoot down an expert opinion? If you think I can do it, I'll give it a shot.

[He finally gets up from his cushy seat in the audience, twirls around, steps out into the main aisle and strikes a pose. It's Cabanela versus the Magic Door, round two! This time, nobody can get mad at him for messing with it again, because he was just following Luca's orders.]

[Luca is glad to hear that Cabanela is going to at least try. Truthfully, someone without training probably won't have enough control to turn just the door into woodchips. More likely, things will be either resiting the change or exploding. But Luca won't get hurt by it, and Cabanela himself probably won't, so it's okay.

As they walk, Luca will prep Cabanela a bit, so he will at least know what to do.]

The array will do most of the work. It's a focus of sorts, telling your sfeer what to do. They're always a bit general, though. For example, the one I'm going to have you try is a general one for working with woody plants- like trees and such- so your sfeer should only affect those types of materials. But you do need to concentrate on what you want the door to turn into for it to be successful.

But more than anything, the key to keeping a sfeer up is control. You are literally forcing part of your soul out of your body, and if you cannot control it, it will just go back into your body and nothing will happen.
