[ OOCly, the rules are pretty much clear! Sheep can win by voting out ALL the wolves. Wolves win when there are less than three sheep teams left. That is what it says on the rules feature of the cellphone, too. But it seems that the text earlier in the day stated otherwise...

It's eerily unsettling how this text isn't as coherent and how the words aren't properly formed, huh? There doesn't seem to be anything new, either. There is no fresh food served - you'll have to make do with the breakfast food... which Dandy has conveniently thrown on the floor.

Hey! There's that vending machine. Raid that shit (aka punch it, break it, etc.). There's soda, potato chips, cookies, and other unhealthy snacks. It should at least tide everyone for the evening. ]

[ 00 EST 28 April: Ousting poll draws to a close. A new day begins, with two teams out of the game. ]

Nnnope, it was not. Mr. Bruce and I didn't start actively conversing until the second day, if I remember correeectly. Rest assured, my preoccupations have no relevance to the game whatsoever. [He tosses his cellphone back and forth between his hands for a moment, almost as if he's juggling, then finally pockets it.]

As I said, it was the first day and nooone of us knew exactly what was going on. That's all there is to it.

It must have been pretty serious, to distract you from such a vital part of the game.

[Luca is curious, but not so curious that he would be rude and outright ask. ]

[That's virtually the same thing as asking, Luca. Geez.]

Baby, I gave my partner my opinion on the matter and told him to go for it. That still makes half of his vote myyy vote, and I take responsibility for it.

We started getting our act together by the time the second ousting took place, and my doubts about how the first ousting ended are what had me call it into question today in the fiiirst place. We could've run in circles about the third clue, or we could've gone after the rather ooobvious wolf team and taken one step closer to ending the game.

[But here they are.]

[It's the polite way to ask, though. And it looks like Cabanela dodged it anyway. So Luca huffs a bit before he speaks again. ]

...they're going to vote you out, you know.

[He's not trying to scare Cabanela or anything, he's just stating the facts. Luca won't vote for him, but he thinks enough of the other groups will that his own vote won't matter. ]

I hate to be dreary, but, well...right. There is a good chance you may be voted out, so any lingering worries or regrets should be taken care of.

[He'd answer the last part, but his mind is still stuck on that first bit. "They're going to vote you out". Why? Because some loudmouth spun a magnificent tale of speculation? One that, as far as Cabanela knows, was countered on every aspect?]

... If they vote Mr. Jesse and myself out, they really are sheep. I've already explained why Shades' accusations had no legs to stand on. What else is there to dooo? Should I have been the one to go up on that stage and bellow some baaaseless accusations about another team?

It's nothing you could possibly change. They're detectives, and people always listen to law enforcement above all.

I'll try to help, but if it doesn't work...I truly am sorry.

[.................. Luca, he's the Head of Special Investigations. If he pulls the right strings, he could probably have both those measly detectives fired. Provided he lives through this.]

[Look at that smile he has on his face as he says that though. Is he being serious, or joking around because he doesn't think Cabanela could be a wolf?

[Cabanela is worth like five of those flatfoots though. He's kind of a big deal. Also, he's laughing again. It's a little hollow, because he's tired and stressed and god knows what else, but it's laughter nonetheless.]

If I were a big bad wolf, I wouldn't be intimidated by a timid little sheep like yooou. Just sayin'.

"The quiet ones are the ones you have to watch out for." That is how that saying goes, I think.

[Though he hasn't been as quiet as usual during this game, mostly because not talking enough = people can shove words into your mouth.]

Sounds like it'd be an iiinteresting showdown. I might have to get on your bad side on purpose, just to see what'll happen.

[He knows the situation is Pretty Damn Serious right now, but he can't stop himself from joking. Maybe that's the only way for him to cope, right now.]

Please don't. Such an effort would be exhausting, and without proper food here it would be difficult to recover.

If you want a showdown, let's stay on each others' good sides and choose a manageable battlefield.

[Like chess. Luca is great a chess, that is something he could win easily.]

[Luca starts to get out of his seat, to go talk to the others, but there is one last thought on his mind, so he stops mid-rise.]

He would've been content to let Luca wander off, because there's not much else to discuss about the whole wolf thing, but apparently the conversation's not over yet. He glances up at the man with mildly raised eyebrows.]

[Luca is already halfway out of his seat, so he will just lean over and kiss Cabanela. It is a quick one, though, and soon enough Luca pulls away. ]

I won't say I like you, as we have only known each other for three days. But I think I could have liked you, if we had more time to get to know each other.

[...... Well. Well. That sure was a thing that happened where anyone could see if they happened to be glancing their way. Cabanela ends up freezing on the spot and it's over before he even has a chance to react. Looks like their game of maybe-gay chicken just became extremely gay chicken.]

I... [Oh god even with all his years of ridiculously flamboyant behavior he has no idea what to do or what to say.] I appreciate the sentiment. [NO, SHIT, WAIT. That came out wrong.] I feel the same, baby.

[let's be real here, it stopped being gay-chicken a while ago.

Luca is glad to see that Cabanela isn't freaking out or anything, though. And to think, he feels the same way too! That is one less worry for Luca, if everything goes to hell in the next couple days.]

...ah. I'm glad for that.

[The pleased smile on his face changes to a somewhat somber look as he stands up, though. ]

Time to return to questioning others, though. We are not out of the woods yet.

[He is kinda freaking out, just not outwardly and probably not in the same way Luca would fear. Even with all his big talk, he's just a total dork deep down and this is very badly timed because they're in a would-be murder game.

So yes. Let's just go back to game itself because this has nothing to do with finding wolves.]
