[ Rise and shine, sleepy campers! You've managed to survive the night in a haunted (???) mansion where a murder just occurred. Are you sure you got some sleep? Probably not. Oh well! Who cares about sleep when



there's been another murder in the kitchen: Winston Payne. Stabbed in the gut with a kitchen knife. Ow... that must have been painful. . . If investigated, one will find that Pearl Fey's name written in the guy's blood on the nice clean kitchen tiles, with the man's right hand.

What's more, when you look up from the body, a Proto Badger will be looking straight at you. ]

Trial happen soon. Prepare.

[ And with a blink of an eye, he disappears. Though you can still see the badger in any reflective surfaces, looking at you. You're free to talk to him if you want to! ]

[Evidently, prosecutor badges mean nothing anymore. But that's okay! Sebastian will step aside like an obedient boy, because right now he's too shocked to catch the implication.]

No, I'm a defense attorney, Apollo Justice. [Once Sebastian had moved aside, Apollo moves right in to get a better look at the crime scene. He frowns at the name that was written out.]

That...that can't be right. [He was muttering to himself.]

[Sebastian stands frozen in place for a moment, then decides to wander after Apollo. This is the second defense attorney he's met around here, and the other guy seemed nice enough. Besides, if there's anything he's learned from Mr. Edgeworth and his friendship with Mr. Shields, it's that prosecutors and defense attorneys don't need to be total enemies.

He can do this. He can investigate too.

As he moves to stand beside Apollo, he peers down at Payne's body as well, his gaze moving from the writing to the guy's face, then on to his clothing.]

What? What can't be right? [...] Could it be... He lost a pearl necklace?
