there's been another murder in the kitchen: Winston Payne. Stabbed in the gut with a kitchen knife. Ow... that must have been painful. . . If investigated, one will find that Pearl Fey's name written in the guy's blood on the nice clean kitchen tiles, with the man's right hand.

What's more, when you look up from the body, a Proto Badger will be looking straight at you. ]

Trial happen soon. Prepare.

[ And with a blink of an eye, he disappears. Though you can still see the badger in any reflective surfaces, looking at you. You're free to talk to him if you want to! ]

[Guess who's standing in the kitchen's doorway and effectively blocking it? This kid. He's no longer dressed as the Riddler now, instead wearing something old-timey he found in his wardrobe. Not that he's the kind of guy who steals a dead person's clothes, but he just had the distinct feeling it was okay to take them.

Despite being a prosecutor, he stands frozen in shock in the face of gruesome death. ...He's only a rookie, okay, cut him some slack.]

[Phoenix is still wearing the Dumbledore robes - they're oddly comfy. He's left the much less comfy fake beard behind in his room, but he's still toting the toy wand and wearing his shiny attorney's badge when he comes down that morning.

And what a scene he comes down to... a dead Payne, Pearl's name in blood, the creepy Badger and the promise of an impending trial...

First, he turns his attention to Payne's body, pocketing his hands with a frown.]

Winston...

I'll try not to forget you this time.

[And then, his attention towards the message.]

...I'm sorry, but have messages like this ever turned out to be right?

[Y e a h , Clay's not going anywhere near that scene after seeing all that blood. He's an astronaut, so he goes through grueling training and exercise every day, and yet the sight of blood, just the thought of it, can make him weak in the knees and sick to the stomach. This, and the fact that it was such an awful murder to a person he saw walking around, alive and breathing, just yesterday is enough to get him to sit on the floor outside the room, head between his knees and fingers interlocked behind his head, and mutter "I'm fine" to himself. Or maybe space facts. Anything to get the image out of his head.

When he hears someone nearby who is investigating the scene, he does, at least, lift his head enough to ask:]

How do you deal with stuff like this?
