GAME 3 - Day 1

[ Rise and shine, sleepy campers! You've managed to survive the night in a haunted (???) mansion where a murder just occurred. Are you sure you got some sleep? Probably not. Oh well! Who cares about sleep when

there's been another murder in the kitchen: Winston Payne. Stabbed in the gut with a kitchen knife. Ow... that must have been painful. . . If investigated, one will find that Pearl Fey's name written in the guy's blood on the nice clean kitchen tiles, with the man's right hand.

What's more, when you look up from the body, a Proto Badger will be looking straight at you. ]

Trial happen soon. Prepare.

[ And with a blink of an eye, he disappears. Though you can still see the badger in any reflective surfaces, looking at you. You're free to talk to him if you want to! ]

(( The shooped thing was just something for fun - please don't take it seriously and go all "THE NAME IS BADLY WRITTEN" etc."

For any questions, ping @sytry or @misailury in any of the crybadger plurks. ))

[Ema takes out Payne's fan and offers it over.]

It belonged to Mister Payne. And Mister Lang had it in his back pocket. It's got one set of prints, and they're Lang's

[Ema herself was wearing gloves.]

They must have wiped it. But then, Mister Lang is pretty scary...

I see... [He looks it over carefully.]

So, this could make him a suspect. Or, he could be another red herring like Pearls...
usefulanalysis: <user name=livebites> (Do you really think so?)

[personal profile] usefulanalysis 2015-10-14 10:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, I don't actually know much about him other than he's very angry.

That...isn't exactly grounds for suspicion, but at the same time? I mean, he's been very keen on keeping people other than himself from investigating.
bewrightback: (oh right I have a court record)

[personal profile] bewrightback 2015-10-14 10:54 pm (UTC)(link)
You're right. He does seem to be very territorial. At the same time, that makes it odder that he would overlook that fan on his person.

There... might be some grounds for suspicion. From what I know of him, he has an intense and irrational grudge against prosecutors. And, my apologies to the deceased, but Winston was one of the most slimiest prosecutors I've met. That could be a motive.

But, given all of that, I know that Edgeworth has worked with Lang on some important cases and trusts him. He just... doesn't seem to remember that. That make it harder to get a good read on him.

[Ema seems to be writing this down.] Right, okay. So Mister Lang doesn't like prosecutors, and the victim in this case was one of the 'Most Slimiest' prosecutors Mister Wright's met.

Doesn't like Mister Edgeworth...[She chews on her pencil.] and is possibly a forgetful werewolf...
bewrightback: (sweating bullets)

[personal profile] bewrightback 2015-10-15 02:32 am (UTC)(link)
Er... More or less. I think that he's supposed to like Edgeworth... but from talking to him earlier, he doesn't seem ready to give any prosecutors the time of day...

[Nod nod...]

Mister Lang has no taste...[Scribble scribble.] and what agency does he work for?
bewrightback: (Default)

[personal profile] bewrightback 2015-10-15 03:19 am (UTC)(link)
[Ah, the note scribbling... How nostalgic.]

For Interpol. You know, the international police?
usefulanalysis: <user name=livebites> (Pleased)

[personal profile] usefulanalysis 2015-10-15 03:47 am (UTC)(link)
[Indeed.]

Yes! I know Interpol. But don't they usually work more in Europe?
bewrightback: (please go on)

[personal profile] bewrightback 2015-10-15 03:52 am (UTC)(link)
That's right! If I remember what I've read correctly, they only came to America to do work related to a big international smuggling ring.

Dr. Black sure knew how to pick his party guests...

[personal profile] usefulanalysis 2015-10-15 04:00 am (UTC)(link)
Oh definitely. I mean, all these important prosecutors, defense attorneys, and police?

He even got permission for Officer Marshall to come, which seems surprising since he was supposed to be in jail.

It almost makes you wonder why he invited me at all? I'm just a Scientific Investigator in Training!
bewrightback: (too smug)

[personal profile] bewrightback 2015-10-15 04:03 am (UTC)(link)
It's... definitely quite the line-up, yes. [Plus one convict and a man on death row...]

But don't worry, Ema. He can probably see that you'll have quite the future ahead of you. [Things might not turn out the way you hope, but that won't make you any less invaluable an ally...]
usefulanalysis: hermajestyicons @ LJ (Happy Happy!)

[personal profile] usefulanalysis 2015-10-15 04:08 am (UTC)(link)
Right! I hope so.

[She doesn't have a clue what's in store, but for now let her keep hoping.

You know, once they make it out of here alive too. In any event, she puts the fan into an evidence bag she's kept in that satchel of hers.]

Why don't you hold onto this for now? You're used to carrying this sort of thing.
bewrightback: (is there something on my face)

[personal profile] bewrightback 2015-10-15 04:18 am (UTC)(link)
Thanks, Ema. I always knew I'd find my greatest fan in you.

[He smiles and adds the fan to the court record.]

[personal profile] usefulanalysis 2015-10-15 04:23 am (UTC)(link)
Sure.

[Mister Wright, whhhhyyyy?!]

I...think I'm going to go now. I don't really wanna be around a dead body, if I don't have to be.
bewrightback: (let's make criminals look foolish)

[personal profile] bewrightback 2015-10-15 04:24 am (UTC)(link)
I understand, Ema. I'm here if you need me for anything.
