But Mr. Lawyer, the "prosecutor" hasn't submitted any evidence or even stepped forward! Anyone could lie about it. And probably would!
If a fake prosecutor were to frame someone else as guilty, they'd likely do it to someone who's already been convicted of a murder in the past, to make it easier to convince the others. Like Prosecutor Blackquill.

If this prosecutor were to step forward before any and all guilty parties have been revealed, it would be a liability to them. We don't have the forms of protection here that we would have on the outside!
Because of that, I do stand by protecting this prosecutor's identity. I myself know of this person's identity and I trust in their world. I do understand your skepticism, Detective Fulbright. But all of the 'evidence' that we have to work with so far has been seemingly planted. Shouldn't this matter at least require investigation?

What makes you so sure this "prosecutor" isn't lying to you to gain your trust?
Frankly, I'm not sure we can trust you, Mr. Lawyer! Much less an unknown person just because you say so!

I'm not sure what I can say, other than that I believe in this prosecutor. And they're the only lead that we have.
I understand that this will be hard to believe, between the secrecy and the lack of evidence. But I'm hoping that we can at least consider and look into this possibility. [He shakes his head.] This isn't easy for me, and I know it can't be easy for you.

What if someone else came forward as this case's prosecutor?
