Um...
Everybody? I got a scoop to share with you all.
The scoop is...
...
Prosecutor Blackquill is guilty.
Like, 100% guilty. So says the prosecutor.
...
Okay, scoop done!
[and she'd collapse under her box] [STEALTH MODE: ACTIVATED]

As much as I don't want it to be true... I vouch for Miss Scuttlebutt's words. I know that it may be hard to take her 'scoops' at full value. This suspect in particular is one whom I wanted to believe in and defend. But... I am also fully confident in the honesty of her 'scoops' and her position. Many of your minds may be set on this point, but I would like to urge you to listen to us and to come forward if any of you have anything else to add. Please believe in us, and I've believed in so many of my clients in the past.
...And, er, speaking of defense attorneys, if there happens to be a certain type of defense attorney among us currently, I would suggest putting Miss Scuttlebutt under your protection.

Hey! Whaddya mean, "it's hard to take her scoops at full value"?? That, Mr. Wright, is defamation of character!

But Mr. Lawyer, the "prosecutor" hasn't submitted any evidence or even stepped forward! Anyone could lie about it. And probably would!
If a fake prosecutor were to frame someone else as guilty, they'd likely do it to someone who's already been convicted of a murder in the past, to make it easier to convince the others. Like Prosecutor Blackquill.

Hmm... An admission of guilt is as good as any other evidence, right?
no subject
Uh... if it's true, that's called a confession. It's usually solid evidence, yes.
(no subject)
no subject
That's not possible. I've spoken privately with Prosecutor Blackquill, and he's assured me he is innocent!

Unless you have a polygraph on you, then that just makes things different. [ and he laughs. ] But like a machine's ever going to work properly.

Now STOP COMING IN MY BOX!

However, I will give a few words of advice: without evidence and sound reasoning, these farcical trials are nothing more than a leap of faith. It is easy, after all, to claim to be the prosecutor, or to claim to speak on behalf of them. To say nothing of the corrupt prosecutor who stands to gain from such misdirection... Thus, any conclusions drawn at this stage are based on naught but hearsay.
Now, are there any questions? Unlike my accusers, I've evidence. Fool Bright has me under escort, so there is nothing he cannot corroborate.

... By the time they get to the end of it, he's already forgotten what Blackquill talked about at the start.]
HOLD IT! ...Fool Bright? Who is this Fool Bright person?

Fool Bright is the irritatingly loud detective who serves as my handler outside of the clink.

Ema...pretty much sits down nearby.]
I'm...I kinda agree. I mean, it's not right to condemn someone for a crime they didn't commit. If Mister Blackquill is a criminal in a different case, then it doesn't mean anything about this one.
Even if it does make it easier to accuse him.

If you mean "real evidence" like "something tangible you can hand around and show off," then... you aren't gonna get it.
The badgers aren't gonna make anything easy for us.
