GAME 3 - Day 3
[ Rise and shine, sleepyheads! You best check everyone in each room, because it seems some people have gone missing...
Franziska and corrupt prosecutor Athena both have remnants of their stay right by the main door - much like how there were footprints of dried wine the other day. There's a riding crop, and a blue headband with a ribbon right by the door.
What's more, if you check out the ballroom, you'll find detective Phoenix Wright's dead body, seated by the piano, a piano wire around his neck.
Proto Badger will be right by the main door. ]
More people escaped... how?

Y-Yeah. I...guess that's the word you'd use to describe it.
no subject
You good?

[Simple enough, but she steps forward anyway. Resolve in her eyes now, she quickly crosses the room and dons a pair of surgeon's gloves from her bag.]
But I have to be strong and figure this out. It's what Mister Wright would've wanted.
no subject
Don't touch nothing if ya can't help it. Better keep it all in tact just in case somebody that's actually alive around here can shed proper light on this.
[Though from just looking at it, seems like a straight-up "murdered via asphyxiation with piano wires" situation.]
no subject
We should check the wire for prints. I can't do that without getting it off his neck. I'm a scientific investigator in training, so unless you're a detective who's going to stop me? I'm going to at least do that much.
no subject
You? In training? Huh... well, used to be a detective, so I normally would've. [Dismissively, but he peers over her curiously as she works.]
no subject
[She gestures to the wire, trying to maintain some sort of clinical detachment. It isn't working, her hands are shaking, and she recognizes it.]
Would you mind? I can't print it if it's around his...[She turns a bit green] neck. And I don't want to do more damage.
no subject
Give me a pair of those gloves.
[It's been a while since he's physically dealt with bodies at a crime scene and he rarely touched, but he can help her at least remove the wire.]
no subject
[She means that. She's sixteen, after all. Reaching into her bag of scientific nonsense, she pulls out a set of gloves for him.]
Really.

Get an evidence bag or something ready. Gonna unravel this off'a his neck now.
[There's some finesse in how he removes the wire from the sharp red indent of the late Phoenix Wright's neck, only grimacing when he feel the skin resist, trying to be as careful as he can while gripping it at the ends. He figures if there's any sort of evidence on such a thin piece of wire (though he has doubts about finding a legible enough print of a finger), it'd be towards the middle where the perpetrator had held it closer to the neck.]
no subject
[She plucks out an evidence bag and gets ready to receive the wire. She's...definitely trying to avoid looking at it at least, but it's hard not ot, hearing the strange sounds that accompany wire unraveling like that.]
Thanks.
no subject
[The wire finally comes loose and he winds it into a loose circle to fit it into the bag. He turns to Ema to slide the evidence in without jostling it too much, then hastily peels his gloves off.]
Think your little Forensics 101 Start Kit 2000 will show us anything useful?
no subject
[She pulls out a Print and DNA Scanner...a gift from Lana.]
If there's prints or blood, this may point something out. Once I can get to a clean table I'll do that. I don't want to try that in here, there could be contamination.
[Raising an eyebrow, Ema gives the stranger a nod.]
I'll bring it up at the trial if I find anything. I...don't want to start pointing fingers wildly though, you know?
no subject
Gonna be honest, man, if nothing concrete comes from it? I think that's what this is all gonna boil down to in the end.
