GAME 2 - DAY 4

[ Considering how there was very little food over the night, one might feel more tired than usual. The night is quiet much like how the day was, and everyone sleeps rather peacefully. The ousted team just disappears without anybody knowing what happened or where they went. Bam. Magic. Their mirrors have also cracked, and so have Grace and Tony's.

Come sunrise - nobody knows when sunrise is, though - there's a clicking sound coming from backstage. Nobody might have been around when it happened, but the other dressing room is now unlocked, and the door is open. "Roxanne" is still blasting through the speaker found in one of the corners of the room, too.

The dressing room is rather messy. Leather jackets on one side of the room, guitars on both corners, and some police uniforms near the speakers. There's a table with udon! It looks delicious, but… wait. It's made of plastic! HOW DARE! On the table are a pair of gloves, sunglasses, some coffee cups with coffee in them, and some postcards of a lady in a blue cloak and some words written in Wingdings-like characters.

There's make-up by the drawers, and some other rockstar paraphernalia in various areas of the room. There doesn' seem to be anything helpful, though.

… or is there?

If one decides to check the dresser, they might find that there's a badger standing behind them. Kind of like what happened on the first day. If one looks back, they won't see the badger, but the badger will be there… in the mirror. Feel free to talk to the creepy thing. It's about time to meet the game's actual host.

No… he talks to the person he sees through the glass, first. It's a rather itchy and hoarse voice, if one can figure it out when there's nothing auditory, anyway. ]

Game will end soon if wolf not oust.

[ Much like how he texts… his sentences are broken.

I suppose now's as good a time as any to bring this up...

[ Some time after vending machine shenanigans and actual food, Kongwai decides that maybe it's time to get a little more serious. Just a little. He's no L'Arachel so he won't be using a microphone, but nevertheless, he tries his best to get everyone's attention. ]

Ahem. Does everyone remember those strange keys we found during our second day in this place? The one with the heart-shaped charm? I haven't seen anything it could unlock, but maybe someone has.

[ Something about his smile right now seems...more feline than usual. Perhaps an optical illusion? ]

Anyway, I just wanted to ask if anyone has any info to offer up about those keys. Personally...I'd love to know what Mister Lockhart has to say about it.

[He practically groans as he realizes it, though.]

I was thinking that if it doesn't actually unlock something, the keys themselves might be a clue of some sorts.

[ If it's really a pun-based clue, Kongwai's just going to be so annoyed with himself for not noticing right away. ]

We might as well try everything with a lock on it, just to be sure.

[Starting with the vending machine.]

Yes, I agree. I do have reservations about deciding on the Springfield-Lockhart team as wolves right now anyway. First I'd like to know who the most probable wolf team trio would be. ...But that can wait until after the lock-checking, of course.

So, do you have compelling evidence for either of the teams in the third group? Something that makes them more probable?

Sorry to say, but not especially. I will say that L'Arachel and I noticed that past our first day here, neither the Springfield-Lockhart or Diana-Dandy team have revealed their suspicion vote. Do you happen to know who they voted for, by any chance?

[ Of course, the Grace-Tony team haven't either, but it's impossible for them to be wolves several times over, so he just leaves them out for brevity. ]

I haven't heard of their votes, no. But I do know two of the votes from yesterday:

The detectives voted for Cabanela's team, and my team voted for Dandy's. I believe Cabanela's team may have voted for the detectives as well?

Which leaves just one vote left unaccounted for, which is quite odd, I would have thought that they would have tried to up the votes on the two other teams to keep Dandy's team off of the last vote for sure, if Dandy's team is a wolf team....

Thank you, that's informative. And that unaccounted vote can be either from the team of Springfield-Lockhart, Asuna-Aoi, or Diana-Dandy.

If we assume that the detective duo are in fact sheep, it's highly likely that either the unaccounted vote was from a wolf...or the wolves haven't been voting in hopes we point fingers at the voters first. From my point of view, at least.

Well, they have to be sheep, right? We got a warning today that we were about to lose.

[ He can stand it, but that doesn't mean he'd fond of the accursed thing. ]

Thank you for telling me. That narrows down the possible wolf team from our team's point of view by two.

[What? Keys? This is the first he's hearing about any keys. And there's a heart-shaped charm, hm... The connection to Lockhart does seem rather obvious, but there might be more to it. Is there another reference to The Police, maybe? ...See this is why he told Gumshoe to help him look into that, but apparently it was mistaken for another distraction tactic.]

[ Kongwai tosses the keys over after he telegraphs the throw with a exaggerated gesture of the arm. Hopefully that warning suffices. Beaning Cabanela in the face with them would be somewhat embarrassing, so he'd like to avoid that. Probably. ]

[Did someone say exaggerated gestures? Cabanela does indeed catch the keys with one hand, only to twirl around on one foot and then raise that same hand high up in the air for a pose of sorts. Welcome to the wonderful world of Ghost Trick nonsense.

Once he's eased himself back into a normal stance, he examines the keychain up close. He flips the charm over in his hand and squeezes it, before turning his attention to the keys themselves.]

Hm... This one appears to be a car key, baby. And this one right here... Something similar. A scooter or a motorcycle, perhaaaps. [... Possibly a segway, but who drives one of those ridiculous things?] Nothing we can put to use here, thaaat's for sure. It's this third one that's the mystery.

[ Okay, no, he doesn't fully understand what Cabanela just said. Not that Kongwai will ever admit it out loud. Instead, he'll just smile and nod like it makes perfect sense. ]

Well, we can at least cross the vending machine off the list of possible locks. And the door to the other dressing room. And the door that I'm assuming is the exit out of here.

[ He takes the time to sigh once here before continuing. ]

Have you seen anything with a lock related to a guitar or music around by any chance?

[He holds the third key up between his thumb and index finger, twirling it around to examine it from all angles. A key for something that isn't too big... Related to music or a guitar... Hm. There are keys in music, but that doesn't help them any. It's probably not symbolic.]

Curious and cuuuriouser.... It might be for the cases of the instruments, but I don't remember seeing any of those. Most of the instruments around here are simply lying arooound.

[ Ah, yes, the instruments lying around. He'd know those. After all, he suggested smashing the vending machine opening with one. ]

Maybe it's something hidden in plain sight then... If so, my first guesses would be that piano and drum set on the stage.

Yeaaah, a scavenger hunt. Nothing like it, baby. Let's hope this key will unlock the final mysteries of the gaaame.

[He throws the key ring back towards Kongwai with another overdramatic flourishing motion of the arm.]

[ Kongwai reaches out to catch it...with his fingers only. (Ow.) Why not catch it in the palm of his hand like a normal person? Only Kongwai knows the answer to that, and it's debatable whether or not he'd give a straight, understandable answer. ]

Fufu, that'd be an almost poetic way of finding any last minute clues.

[After that little tiff from yesterday, Cabanela feels just a little bad about messing around with keys when there's a game to be played, but... Come on, it's keys. This has to mean something.]

Poetic and three days too late, but I'll take anything we can fiiind.

[ At least they're being productive! And who knows, that key could lead to a clue. ]

Agreed. I'll be sure to update you if I find out which lock this key belongs to.
