NIGHT 3 - Ousting
[ Yet again, the names change... ]
Again. Almost there. Blue badger... might lose. . . Not good.
[ IMPORTANT: Team Jacques Portamsn and Team The Phantom CANNOT vote on this poll.
IMPORTANT #2: The Proto Badger sees each TEAM (whether you are alone or with a partner) as ONE ENTITY. If he says "The Phantom", be means BOTH Godot and Blackquill. He does not see them as different people.
00 EST March 9: Ousting poll draws to a close. One team gets killed off, and the allies of the bad badger (AKA WOLVES) take a blue badger team (AKA SHEEP) out of the game. And a new day begins. OUSTING VOTES ARE PUBLICISED. You will be able to tell who voted for which.
00:01 EST March 10: Day 4 begins, and there will be another suspicion poll. Only six teams will remain.]

Yesterday, I spoke to one of the, ah... "suspects", and he claimed to be at peace with death, which made the vote simpler, in a way... But today, I would like to hear more before I make my decision.

So it's come to this... [ Sorry, Aura... it finally needs to be said. ]
It was the natural outcome, after this morning's events. Let me preface this by saying I wholeheartedly believe that Team Phantom is aligned with Bad Badger, just as I believed it yesterday.
I first started to wonder when Mr. Armando was quick to dismiss my theory of killers being among us.
[ flashback ]
Furthermore, he reacted strangely when I mentioned the first victim's name on that day. Of course, that isn't much to go by, but coupled with Mr. Blackquill's own confession...
[ flashback ]
...I have reason to believe that they were coerced into playing this horrific game, just as we all were. In that sense, I don't think they are more guilty than any of us who participated in this, but the rules state that this game can only end if one side wipes out the other. The only thing I don't believe they are guilty of is overturning the votes, given Mr. Armando's relationship with the late Miss Fey.
If we are to dismiss Hawthorne as a suspect, that... leaves us with another prime suspect who, in theory, would have plenty of reason to do it. [ He looks pained at that tragic thought, but this is what it means not to avert one's eyes from the truth. Not that he wants to believe it, per se, but concealing evidence is something he could never do. In fact, someone please prove him wrong here. ]

[ Honestly, Mia and Maya had been dismissing the killers-among-us theory, too, but Trucy doesn't bother to bring that up for the moment. ]
And who's this "prime suspect" of yours?

What if those who are aligned on the same side cannot harm each other, even if they wanted to? You are asking me why they would commit a crime even if I suggest that they were coerced. That question should partly answer itself.
As for your other question... I'd like to hear your father's thoughts before I answer it.

... May I ask who your prime suspect for the overturning of the votes is? [He wouldn't mind having a word with them...]

I realize I may be sabotaging our own chances of survival here, but... I have always believed in the truth, and as long we continue to believe in that and are honest with our answers, no matter how bad it may seem, I believe that it's the one thing that will set us free.

Shortly after the new round of voting begins, Phoenix will go a-knocking at his mirror again.]
Mr. Badger?
[He has to do what he can to prevent last night's tragedy from repeating itself.
Otherwise, he may approach people from time to time and he's certainly approachable, but otherwise he remains on the sidelines and tries to pay attention to everyone else's questionings.]

Still hunched over, Yanni ends up tugging on Phoenix's pink sleeve. You definitely fulfilled your own prophecy there, bud.]
Keith? I got somethin' to tell ya. [He starts to tug him away; he'd rather discuss this privately.]

Um... sure, why not, Pops......

PING ME FOR THIS STUFF GOSH
Evening.
SORRY I THOUGHT YOU'D NOTICE EVENTUALLY ANYWAY
Yes... evening.
I was wondering if I could ask some questions, Mr. Badger, about the concept of an overturned vote.
WELL WHAT IF I DIDN'T
I WOULD EVENTUALLY GIVE IN TO PINGING

After The Talk
Well... I have some more news from our host. First, regarding the overturning; apparently, it was done by using a coin that he presented to only one of us, because this proto badger considered this to be 'fun'. However, he also attested that this was a one-time only measure. So, if we take him at his word, we won't have to worry about another overturning in tonight's vote.
And, I think that many of us have been able to guess at least part of this by now, but it seems clearer and clearer that our host is connected to a mental institution. He keeps talking about 'white walls', there's a 'pink girl' who bears 'a cross and a hat' who brings him injections, he left because he had to take an exam... and then there was that odd patient information card that was found in the Gavin room. The odd thing is that it sounds like he is a patient and still going through the routine of one... So how could he have the means to have done all the impossible things that he's accomplished so far?
[He hesitates, but then he goes on.]
Finally... I should disclose what the proto badger said regarding the game itself. He told me about prizes that could be won. He said that... the losing side would get "Nothing, maybe death," and that he was undecided on that. As for the winners... he would not elaborate beyond saying that the prize would be 'life. I don't know how to take that... [He's afraid of false hope.] ...but I feel that all of you have a right to know.
